The Dialogue Series: IV Moya is the last of a series of discussions that Faustin is having with friends, artists, dancer-choreographers, etc. about their relationship to their history and the environment they live in, and about the place of art in all this. Moya has danced for Rosas, Akram Khan Cie and Larbi Cherkaoui. In 2013, she told her own story for the first time in Darling, a duet with Igor Shyshko. Moya Michael is  a ‘coloured’ person, who was born  in Johannesburg, under a regime where the colour of your skin determined your place in society and your rights. With an imaginary juke‐box, she sets out her questions, choices and doubts on the stage.

Artistic direction: Faustin Linyekula; Performance: Moya Michael; Music: Mahlathini and the Mahotella Queens, Franco, Abdullah Ibrahim; Production: Studios Kabako – Virginie Dupray; Coproduction: KVS Theatre – Brussels.

60 mins; Tickets: € 12 to € 15 (discounted € 5 to € 10.50); In English and French, subtitled in Portuguese.
